Terms set forth below shall be construed in the following meaning:
Authorization − the procedure for obtaining of a permit to carry out transactions by means of payment cards (hereinafter the PC).
Automated teller machine (ATM) − program-technical complex allowing the Holder of PC to carry out self-service of transactions on cash withdrawal, cash depositing onto corresponding accounts, obtaining of account statements, as well as to carry out other transactions in accordance with functional opportunities of this complex.
Issuing bank (Bank) − open joint-stock company RODOVID BANK. Member of payment system which issues a PC.
Cash advance − transaction on issue of banknotes to the Holder of PC via cash department of the bank, financial institution or trader, ATM.
Spending limit − limited amount of funds available for the Holder of PC within the certain period of time for carrying out of transaction by means of PC. It is calculated as an amount of balance on CA less minimum balance amount and an amount of blocked, however not written-off funds, and if the Holder of Pc is opened a credit line - as an amount of credit line and balance on CA less an amount of blocked, however not written-off funds.
Holder of PC (Holder) − an individual client or authorized person of client who uses PC on legal grounds to initiate money transfer from corresponding account in the bank or carries out other transactions with use thereof.
Authorized person of client − an individual determined in the agreement entered into between the issuing bank and the client (power of attorney of the client) whom the client entrusts carrying out of transaction at the expense of the part or all money kept on his/her CA with use of separate PC issued in the name of this person.
Document confirming transaction by means of PC − a document confirming carrying out of transaction by means of PC, on the ground of which corresponding documents of transfer are drawn up or money is credited onto accounts.
Acquiring institution (acquirer) − a legal person member of payment system carrying out activity on technological, information service of traders and making settlements with them on transactions having been carried out by means of PC.
Card account (CA) − current account on which record of PC transactions is kept.
Minimum balance (MB) − minimum amount of funds of the Holder on a card account stipulated in the agreement entered into between the Holder and the Bank which within the validity period of PC shall remain on PC and may not be used by the Holder.
Overdraft − a short-term credit which is given by the bank in case of exceeding of PC transaction amount subject to banks fees for carrying out of PC transactions over the fixed spending limit.
Personal identification number (PIN code) − code known only to the Holder of PC and required for his/her identification during carrying out of transactions by means of PC.
PIN envelope − an envelope which contains printed PIN codes.
Payment card (PC) − special payment tool in the form of issued in accordance with the prescribed legal procedure plastic or other card used for initiating of money transfer from the payers account or from corresponding account of the bank, with the purpose of payment of the cost of goods and services, money transfer from own accounts onto accounts of other persons, obtaining of cash in cash departments of the banks, financial institutions, currency exchange offices of the authorized banks and via ATMs, as well as carrying out of other transactions stipulated by corresponding agreement.
Payment system (PS) − payment organization, members of PS and all relationships appearing between them during money transfer.
Payment terminal − electronic device designed for carrying out of procedure for authorization with the payment card usage and, as a rule, for printing of document confirming transaction by means of PC. It may be banking and trading one and may be connected with register of settlement procedures; it may print documents confirming transaction by means of PC via printing device of this register.
Stop-list − list of PC (PC numbers) according to which it is forbidden to carry out transactions. Depending on the rules for use of PC, stop-list may be electronic and paper.
Tariffs − tariffs of OJSC RODOVID BANK for transactions on issue and service of PC.
Terminal equipment − electronic device which at corresponding settings allows to read and record information on PC chip, to carry out authorization of the Holder, if necessary, and is used for carrying out of transactions on replenishment of balances of PC instruments, settlements for goods (rendering of services, performance of works) by means of PC and generation of receipts for carried out transactions and shipping of data thereof to the Bank for further processing.
Transaction − information in electronic form about certain operation having been carried out by means of PC.
Trader − subject of entrepreneurial activity who in accordance with agreement with acquirer or payment organization accepts PC for service with the purpose of payment for cost of goods or services (including services on cash advance being provided by the banks and other institutions). |
